PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The Graduate Programme in Social Information Systems enables students to develop the skills needed in order to understand and improve the interaction between people, information and technology. To this end, the Programme teaches relevant theory, principles and best practices stemming not only from computer and information science but also from social sciences.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirement for admission to a postgraduate programme is an undergraduate degree from an accredited Higher Education Institution.
Solid command of the English language, as a significant part of the bibliography, is in English.
Competency in the use of computers for personal and networked (Web / social media) applications.
TUITION FEES
The total cost of the fees for this postgraduate programme is 5,400 Euro.
APPLICATIONS
The Programme is no longer available for admission.
In order to obtain the postgraduate degree, it is necessary to attend and successfully pass an examination in six (6) semester modules and to prepare a Master Thesis.
The students, under the supervision and guidance of their professors, are obliged to prepare two (2) written assignments for each module and after getting the necessary grades, they will have the right to participate in the final exam.
Each student can choose up to 30 ECTS per semester. Choosing 30 ECTS is equivalent to full-time study while choosing less than 30 ECTS is considered part-time.
During the first year of study, students attend the three (3) core modules of the programme and one (1) elective. The choice of direction is made after the end of the second semester with the selection of the respective direction modules for the second year of study.
During the second year, the students attend two more compulsory modules. Also, during the second year, the Master Thesis is prepared. Selection of the topic of the Thesis can be submitted after the completion of the three compulsory Modules of the programme (of the 1st year).
The Master Thesis
1) contributes new knowledge to research on Social Information Systems
2) contributes knowledge to a more applied level (e.g. design/implementation of a system/method).
